My resource program emphasizes the development of academic skills, including homework completion and behavior. The students in the program have a variety of specialized learning needs that are addressed through specific goals. My goal with this project is to create a learning environment that is enjoyable and motivating. The supplies in my project will be used to address the students’ basic school needs and to support their emotional and social health. My students have gone through a tough transition these past few years. The goal is to create a classroom where they feel safe, confident, and appreciated. Most importantly, a learning environment where they can find academic success. To create this environment you must have strong incentives and strong academic resources. My idea is to create a special corner/seat/area to celebrate achievements. I think this will help motivate and encourage the students in my class. I also want to create a reward system for positive behavior and to encourage socialization. The supplies in this project will help achieve all the above mentioned ideas. Overall, all the items in my material list will positively impact student learning and achievement.
