We have a school wide incentive program that rewards students for random acts of kindness. Students are caught being kind and given "Bear Squares". Once they have 5 "Bear Squares" I take their picture and put it on our kindness wall. We use "Bear Squares" in the classroom, at lunch recess, in the lunchroom, and during the student's specials. It teaches the students that getting along with others, helping others, and using good manners will bring positive consequences in life. The color printer will be utilized to print photos of our "kind" students. The classes with the kindest kids will also get dance parties during lunch recess and movies during lunch. The projector and speaker will be used to display movies/videos promoting kindness and playing music outside. The speaker can also be used to play my lessons on conflict resolution, anger management, and coping skills. The projector will help with stress management techniques that I teach.
