Our students often come to school unprepared for classwork, they frequently cut class, and are tardy or absent from school often. The goal of this project is to use technology to engage students and to get them to attend class on a regular basis and enjoy learning math. In order to create enthusiasm for school, we need to take advantage of highly successful computer programs like DESMOS, but we do not have devices to run them on. DESMOS is cutting-edge educational technology that gets students' to actually enjoy learning math. Our school can celebrate the different ways students come to know mathematics. These activities open up a world of possibilities for students to explore concepts more deeply, collaborate with their peers on problem-solving, and apply knowledge creatively as mathematicians. DESMOS is on a mission to help every student learn math and love learning math. Without continual upgrades… Bugs -- including really bad bugs will plague our students while they try to use the computer programs. The device's software needs to be updated within the past 18 months, to be fully supported. Severe glitches occur when the students’ do not have the appropriate technology.
