My goal is to keep up with trends and incorporate more unique labs for my students, to encourage their creativity and to feel comfortable in the kitchens cooking. Due to both budget cuts and lack of certain ingredients available in our grocery store, I have been purchasing items myself and I've reached my personal spending limit. I would like my students to have an well organized stocked kitchen and experiences. My classroom is in need of cutting boards, hand tools, candy making tools, flavorings, food dye and some spices. Also some other items that are not available in the grocery store we purchase from. They are approved items, but simply not available in our local store and our supply budget was used to replace our washing machine. The more comfortable and capable they are in the kitchen, the odds of lifelong eating healthy and cooking for themselves as independent adults increases tremendously. Thank you!
