The students are here. Many of them are ready and willing to learn. The classroom environment is clean and safe. Here I am ready to teach, and we are...not quite go for launch. Books are the beating heart of an English classroom, but print books for my classroom are what I need most. The books I have requested will challenge my high-ability learners with classic literature, and bring students who are struggling up to the level they need to read and think critically; a skill that is becoming more important with each passing day. With more exposure to books in our classroom library and time to independently read, my students have shown their amazing capacity to challenge themselves and grow as readers.
