While my students worked hard during distance education, they were unable to adequately fulfill the need to perform in front of a live audience. Now that we are capable of providing such opportunities, it is imperative that we take advantage of the opportunity to hone the skill of public performance. The ability to create a high quality recording of a performance would allow students to view their performance from an audience perspective and come up with constructive criticism for themselves. This type of self-reflection is directly referenced in standard MU:Re9.1. Furthermore, the ability to share performances after they have been completed would help achieve standard MU:Pr6.2 more fully. It is important to provide as many possible performances for students, especially after a year of being deprived of such opportunities. Being able to share performances indefinitely and worldwide would open doors for my students and promote our program on a much larger scale.
