Since the pandemic students lack stamina in all academic areas. They are very restless in the classroom, which leads to off task behavior. They are very squirrely, and often can't sit still. I have seen flexible seating in action, and the the students seem happy, engaged, and willing to participate in their learning more. The flexible seating option will provide my students with the opportunity to elevate their engagement and enhance their learning in the classroom. Also, giving them the choice for their seating option allows them to decide what type of work space they prefer. In addition, the students who prefer the flexible seating option can take the seat home if they are excluded from in person learning.
