The reading materials purchased will help students reach the countless Reading Literature standards in the ELA 11th grade curriculum. Engaging with the material is crucial for reading comprehension, and reading materials that are more reflective of their diversity are more likely to hook the students as readers. Students recovering from the events of COVID-19 need resources and tools to cope, and reading has been a tool for healing for generations. Students will have the ability to create a community through these stories, and feel that they are not alone in what feels like an individual and lonely struggle.

About my class
