Our STEM lab has received a generous grant that has allowed us to purchase a CNC machine. The students have started using it, but we have a small room and that creates difficulties regarding safety and cleanliness. With this project we plan to build an enclosure for the CNC machine so the students can be up close and learn about the manufacturing process! High school students will be able to design parts using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Those designs will then be transferred to the Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) mill for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAN).
