These materials will help students fabricate custom parts on location. This will shorten lead times for prototyping and implementing projects. It will also decrease team costs as fewer parts will need to be ordered from vendors. Lastly, and most importantly, students will have the opportunity to learn safety and manufacturing skills that will be directly applicable to the workplace. This team of students designs, builds, tests, and competes with a robot each year, and these tools will be used year after year to help this growing team.
