This library of books will be utilized in small group settings to help students become better readers. Struggling readers don't find reading enjoyable because they have difficulties. Having a library of good books to read aloud and read with students is a great beginning to their success. We will use these books daily to assist students in improving their reading skills. Students who read these award winning books find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. Good books are a gateway to better reading skills for reluctant readers. My students will love getting their hands on these award winning books. The pencils, post-it notes and other office materials will be used on a daily basis as well. Students will use these during reading lessons to mark pages for the different parts of reading comprehension; such as, plot and summary.
