The lab tables in my room are very old, and as a result, they have had years of abuse. I have lab tables that have very inappropriate words/pictures carved into them. Lab tables with inappropriate language on them, initials, names, you name it! It makes the students uncomfortable to see these images and words, and it is embarrassing when parents/guardians come in and see these things on the tables. I would love to replace these tables with new ones so my students will have a more positive, welcoming room to work in. While I have 12 lab tables currently, I can probably get by for now with just replacing the 6 worst ones.
