Having to rely on teletherapy was challenging for everyone during COVID last year. Our youngest students were negatively impacted by the school shut-down. They lost opportunities to engage with same-aged peers during play time, school-wide events, and other activities that required learning and practicing their social language skills. Students have to wear masks in speech, which presents a new challenge for all. They still need to opportunity to view articulation videos of mouths that demonstrate proper placement of the tongue to make correct sounds. Literacy games will help enhance those skills they lost last year.
