By creating an environment where students feel safe and comfortable, I hope to help them improve student behavior. Many students come to my room very upset and frustrated over the incident that got them sent to me. The items requested in this project will give them a chance to relax and calm down, releasing that anger in an appropriate way. Flexible seating gives students an opportunity to work and learn in a way that works for them. When my students are spread out and comfortable, they are more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers. The requested items will give my students several options when it comes to seating, and help create a positive work environment in my classroom. They will help me create a positive learning environment, and promote concentration and personal reflection in my classroom.
