Students will be able to use calm down tools to manage the stress they are having due to increased social anxiety and lack of opportunity for social emotional learning after having been away from people and a classroom setting for over a year. Students will use art supplies and different creative outlet tools to facilitate difficult conversations and allow for a variety of ways for students to express themselves during counseling sessions. More than ever our students need many different tools/books to learn social emotional skills. Students struggle to problem solve and to manage their bodies, these materials will assist in my delivery of my school counseling mindsets and behavior standards and address the 5 CASEL SEL competencies.
