The classroom environment will promote a comfortable study space at home. Student learn best when they have room to move and stretch. Also, having a desk-less room takes away the element of "get back to your seats!" All students will be discover concepts in a speak-easy, camp-fire-type of environment, allowing for participation from EVERYONE!! Moreover, all students will have ample opportunities to practice collaborative "speak":ie: inquiry and constructive feed-back. Students, at desk, feel too restricted and shy. Most of my students are NOW sitting on the carpeted floor. Having bean bag and camp /beach chairs will 100% create a desk-free, comfortable classroom.
