Second grade is the time when students are learning to express themselves through writing. This process takes practice. I am asking for writing journals so that my students can practice those writing skills, as well as their handwriting, on a daily basis. These journals will also provide a written record that the students can look back upon to see their growth at the end of the year. The Dial Soap is to help keep my students healthy so that they do not miss school, thereby missing instructional time. The process of writing is a skill that must be developed over time. These journals will provide my students with the extra time and practice needed to hone those skills.
