All of these school materials, incentives, social emotional lessons/games and learning materials for math and reading are essential for our students in this extremely poverty stricken neighborhood in Las Vegas, NV. Pre-pandemic elementary school performed at the bottom of achievement in math, reading and behaviors historically. I will use these materials for social emotional lessons, character education as well as tutor students in math and reading. Also, the incentives and positive affirmations are instrumental in building self-esteem. Our students have a 50% absenteeism and one of the highest transient rates in the district. But our children still strive to be their best in and out of the classroom.
