Most of my students do not know their multiplication facts. The multiplication flash cards will be used in small group to help the students learn their facts fluently. The fact that they are dry erasable and varied will give the students the opportunity to learn their facts at their own pace when working independently. The more students can recall their multiplication facts, the easier other aspects of math will become. As the curriculum move to fractions it is always hard for students to grasp, having resources to show them exactly how fractions are broken down into parts will be a great help. When students start to add and/or subtract fractions with unlike denominators it becomes difficult. Being able to use fraction tiles will allow my visual learns to see the relationship between the fractions making comprehension of the skill easier for the students. Math is something that we use every day and success in this area is a must. Having great mathematical resources will help my students grow academically and become productive citizens.
