My classroom is a small room that usually houses math classes all day. But once a week it turns into a culinary room with small countertop ovens, mixing bowls and whisks, and lots of conversation around cooking. Each week my students spend time discussing science, experimenting with food, and following recipes. Their favorite part is eating their creations and critiquing their work, then going home and trying recipes with their families. We do not have an official cooking space but we make it work with the things we have available!
