With these materials, students will get daily practice in reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, answering text dependent questions and will specifically target problem areas due to distance learning and the impacts of Covid-19. RL.3.1-2 With the sentence editing journals, students will get daily practice in punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and spelling which has been a deficit due to distance learning. W.3.5 The conversation starters will help my students with social emotional learning by having them communicate with each other regularly to problem solve and work together. I have noticed my students lacking specifically in the areas of reading comprehension, revising and editing skills, and social emotional learning due to distance learning. These materials will help bridge the gap in these learning areas.
