These materials will help me grow my classroom library. My students have told me many times about certain books they want, such as, Bridge to Terabithia, Holes, and Percy Jackson collection. As a new teacher it has been challenging to have all the materials I need. In my classroom library, I plan to have different alternate seating for students to come, find a space, and read. My goal is to provide a space in the room where my students feel excited and comfortable to read. My students enjoy reading and I want to make sure I keep them excited about reading by giving them a nice space and great book choices. The area rug and bench seat will provide the students a comfortable place to sit while reading. This area of the classroom will also be used for small group instruction. The students will use the table to complete work on. The students will benefit from the storage bench because it will hold materials from them to utilize during small group, for example, white boards and markers, counters, decks of cards.
