Literature focusing on Science and Social Studies will help engage students in the topics and introduces concepts that align with State Standards like K-2-ETS1-2 Develop a simple sketch, drawing, or physical model to illustrate how the shape of an object helps it function as needed to solve a given problem. Cooperative learning and hands-on activities stimulate conversations that allow ELL students opportunities to learn new vocabulary and practice their speaking skills. The products I have selected will allow my students to sit still and focus, increase their confidence in speaking and interacting with peers as well as improve their interest and success in reading.

About my class
