The big book easel will be used for the students to view the big book during our ELA portion of the day. Currently, I have a student volunteer helping me hold the big book. I would like to have an easel to set it on, so the students can follow along with my book and with their own smaller book in front of them. The big book that I provide for the class also contains more questions and pictures that they can discuss, that their smaller books may not have. This is a great way for all students to see the book and identify what is going on throughout our lesson. The building materials are to create stem boxes that will be a part of a new reward system, as well as center time. These stem boxes will consist of one or more building materials. If the student finishes their work correctly and efficiently, they will be able to grab a stem box to occupy their time and build fine motor skills before moving on to another lesson. These will also be available to the students during our center time that we have twice a week. Students will get to explore what they can create with these building materials.
