This funding will help my students and me. Being a first-year teacher is rough and money can be tight. My students make it worth it, every penny and a stressful day worth it. Students need the proper materials to succeed and to be successful in life.These materials will help students succeed in their foundational skills. This isn't an activity students will do instead, these materials will help students in all aspects of the classroom. The supplies will help students and better their learning in all subjects. With your help, you can help my students and me succeed in being the best versions of ourselves. Due to, the lack of hands-on activities because of COVID-19, has affected students their growth and learning. The ten frames that are being requested in the materials will help students by providing them with concrete examples. For instance, MATH.1stGrade.1.OA.C.5: Add and subtract within twenty. Students can use the tens frame by getting a concrete example that is physically in front of them. Due to COVID-19, students need all the examples they can get. These tens frames will help students add and subtract within twenty and help students get back on track due to the impacts of COVID-19. I could get out the tens frames for students to physically use when doing math. After, the lesson students will be able to add and subtract within twenty when using a tens frame. These ten frames can be used within all math activities not only this specific activity.
