My school is a lower income area where support isn't to its fullest potential. Many teachers have to take on other jobs in order for students to be able to enjoy their best elementary years. I have accepted the responsibility to give all of our students a proper yearbook. This year I plan to supervise a yearbook club and guide them on how to properly take pictures. I cannot take pictures at certain times during the day. This is why I am looking to provied the students with cameras to take pictures. They would mean that they are washing their hands constantly before being able to use the cameras. Students will gain skills in Nevada Academic Content Standards of Computer Science. "Computer Science provides students with vital skills for a global digital society." Students will take pictures of the school students and work on a digital platform to create a wonderful yearbook. I believe that students enjoy being apart of school activities and being able to take part in something so memorable. They did not get a yearbook last year due to the entire school being on distant learning. I hope that they will be able to create an amazing project this year. Students have also fallen behind in Reading Informational Text. The Scholastic News and the reading games will be able to provide them with a easy and fun way to be interested in current events. I hope that they will be able to gain more of an interest in Informational Text to help them with Nevada Academic Content Standards 4.R.I.
