Being in a new district I don't have many resources to help improve my students overall learning abilities: literacy, mathematics, social/emotional, sensory needs, and more! I want to be able to provide my students with numerous games, activities, and tools to help improve their skills in and outside of the classroom. Not every student is the same so not every resource will help. Having a variety of materials will help me problem solve on giving the student the right game, activity, or tool to use in the classroom. At a young age, especially the year we just experienced, my students need more tools to learn how to focus in the classroom and receive the information that is being taught. I hope this project can help all of my students on my caseload be better learners, and learn new material in an easier way through games and activities that they might not get in their general education classroom. I hope this project helps my students be able to calm their bodies and have the ability to attend to the instruction in the classroom. I hope these materials will help my students improve their phonological awareness skills so they are able to close the gap with their peers. I hope these materials will help my students improve their basic mathematical skills to be able to participate in the whole classroom with their peers. I hope these materials will help my students improve their social and emotional skills to be able to regulate their emotions in and outside of the classroom.
