I teach in the resource room and the class room and find that the interaction of the students and myself have many worth while benefits. You hear about how the first steps on the moon were so important but imagine when a student gets what they are taught and smiles. This smile and the excitement of this action cannot be compared to anything but the greatest of achievements. There is much learning on the students part, but on my part as well. We find through discovery of rewards , consistency, trust and mutual respect that my students progress . I have found that the individual needs of the many does not just outweigh the needs of the few. This one on one reading with the students, working through math problems and just discovery of education shows the students with learning disabilities that anyone can achieve their goals. Special needs students have a great perspective on the world and things that makes thought processes never idle.
