My students are in desperate need to learn how to read. That is the subject that they struggle the most and that is the reason why they struggle in most of the classes. They have lost interest in reading not only because they do not understand but because they haven't found many interesting, funny, inclusive books. There is not a very wide variety of books that show other tones of skin color, other types of families, other types of living experience, and some of my students struggle with finding someone like them on books. That is why I want them to be able to read books like them. I want them to be excited to read a book, do exercise with it, and be eager to find more like those. This project is mainly about helping students find their love for reading which I am certain that it will help them learn how to read because they are invested in the stories.
