The focus of my project is to promote social and emotional learning for middle school kids during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our students have been dealing with a lot of changes and uncertainty for the past couple of years. My hope is to promote social emotional learning in my classroom so that students have an easier time understanding their emotions and how to have positive interactions within the school setting. I have selected specific curriculum that can be presented both digitally and in print that covers topics that are relative to middle school kids while promoting social emotional learning. Also, I have added classroom supplies that I will help keep materials organized for the students. Lastly, I have added two dyslexia pens. I work with students who have learning disabilities. By having these dyslexia pens, students who struggle with reading will have the same access to the curriculum as their other peers.
