These materials will enhance student learning for students in K-3 at our school because students will gain early exposure to STEM, progression, and preparation for competitions against their peers in Robotics leagues such as First Lego League. During my career as an Educator, I have had the opportunity to implement robotics programs for students as young as kindergarten who thrived as a result. Students who may not be the best academic student have an opportunity to shine on a robotics table. Using Legos such as those on our wish list will introduce students as young as a kindergarten to artificial intelligence through coding made fun. Further, students will also be able to use the coding skills learned in school at home on designated coding sites. Thus, expanding learning opportunities for our youngest students at Dobbs. As we know, artificial intelligence is the new wave of our future. The earlier students are prepared and developed in said area, the more likely they are to adequately advance towards success.
