Flexible seating allows my students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work for them. Whether doing independent work or group work, students have the ability to choose which part of the classroom they are most efficient in completing their activity. Right now my students prefer to work in various locations in the classroom with fewer distractions and making them more engaged in the activity. I noticed the students are more engaged and less disruptive of their peers when they are given choices of where to work to complete their activity.
