These calculators will help provide equity so that students from lower-income families can still access the full content in a math course. The calculator will help them with their financial literacy as well as help them graph and analyze data. So many students leave high school without the basic knowledge of finance and how to earn good credit, buy a car or even how taxes are taken out of their paycheck. Giving the students an opportunity to calculate their interest on an investment or an annuity is a unique learning outcome that these students will use to help their future. They will use very complex formulas to calculate these values which requires a graphing calculator. They will then be able to create graphs on the calculator which is something they can use on their resume.
