Students create work throughout the year showing their understanding of the Elements and Principles of Art: Line, Shape, Space, Form, Color, Value, Texture, Pattern, Movement, Rhythm, Emphasis, Unity, Contrast and Balance. Students need a place to store their work and allows them to transport their current work home to work on it there as well. These supplies will allow the students the opportunity to create their own folder/portfolio. Art Portfolios will help students have all their work in one space, allowing them to: Sketch, plan, generate, revise and reflect upon works of art for presentation or exhibition (standard 5.7) with ease.
