All of these instruments are essential in starting a Modern Band with Latin American influences (which is where all of the students are from.) The Congas, Bongos, Drum Set and Electric Guitar/ Bass are all part of the musical styles my students are interested in which include styles like Bachata, Rock in Spanish, Reggaeton, and Pop. When students are able to learn music that speaks to them culturally it is more inspiring and peaks their interest. These items are essential in forming a lasting music program that will ensure student interest and engagement and ultimately give back to the community.

About my class
