In our orchestra room, we use the whiteboard to understand rhythms, vocabulary, articulations, and other music theory that relates to our performance class. The students also are inspired by examples of professional orchestras and other student orchestras when discussing technique or repertoire. However, we can not see the orchestras, or classwork with our current technology. With a smart TV in the classroom, students at home, as well as students in the classroom can benefit from working with prepared excerpts and worksheets, interact with rhythms and compositions, and the best part is...we could all see the work.
