I have selected books for my students that will allow them access to meaningful and quality books at their reading level. High interest books will keep my students engaged help foster a love of reading and books. The books that I have asked for are at reading levels that won't discourage my students when they are reading. They will be able to read fluent because the books will be at their instructional level. (RF 1.4) They will allow them to grow, strengthen, and hone decoding skills that may need extra work. (RF 1.3) These books will also give my students an opportunity to participate in their classroom reading sessions without feeling singled out because of immature content.
