The products that I have chosen will improve the quality of education that my students receive in so many ways. In our school, the amount of resources that we receive for technology is so limited. As we have seen during the pandemic, the limit in which technology can improve our lives is limitless and the same goes for students. Tablets in the classroom can provide my students with access to programs such as Freckle, Lexia, and, Prodigy that can provide engaging activities at the adaptive level of the student. This can be helpful with differentiation and ensuring that students have access to beneficial programs.
Having tablets in the classroom can also open up our possibilities for reading materials. As you all know it can be really hard and expensive to fill a classroom library with enough books that are diverse and reach your students at their level. Tablets can provide students access to books through programs such as Epic and Reading a-z.
Tablets can also provide students with a resource to creative outlets and help them navigate a world that is so drastically moving towards an emphasis on skills-based activities in technology. My students have expressed interest in coding and creating video game platforms. Having this tool in my classroom can ensure that my students will have the skills and experience to compete in a technological world.
