The phonics games and sight words games will engage students while using knowledge of phonics to blend and decode words. RF 1.3 Students can use these literacy and math games and hands on materials to provide a healthy in person learning environment conducive to their academic learning development. The guided leveled books will help students meet their goal of reading grade level texts with purpose, independence and fluency. RF 1.4a They will be able to read non fiction and fiction text at their level. Currently, our school doesn't have books to meet the needs of all students reading level. Students will use the math games to strengthen their addition and subtraction skills to 20. In first grade students are learning about order of operations, number sense and place value. In our classroom currently I don't have enough materials to provide all students hands on manipulatives. The math games will be used in students homes to review skills in an engaging way to support families and students. Homework shouldn't always be paper and pencil only. 1.OA.B3 Many students are anxious after the last two years of COVID-19. The fidgets will help students with anxiety and provide them with a safe and healthy in person learning environment.
