Through this project, I hope to create a classroom environment where students feel secure and comfortable in their learning. I want to offer students the opportunity to have choices in their seating and not be restricted in traditional chairs and desks. My goal is to provide flexible and cozy seating for my students. Currently, there are not many seating options for my students. They either sit at their desks or on the carpet. Flexible seating will allow my students the freedom to work independently or collaborate with their peers through cooperative learning. Students will be able to move their seating around the room which will help them stay focused and be successful in their learning. If my project is funded, students will have more seating choices in the classroom which will support mobility and eliminate the restraints of learning in a traditional desk for the entire school day.
