The hot plate will be used regularly to complete labs and demonstrations for chemistry and honors chemistry students. It will allow classes to complete observations that are currently difficult to do in our classroom. There are numerous solutions to be made that require hot plate and stirring to properly prepare. Growing crystals, preparing various ionic solutions, preparing polymer solutions are just a few examples of solutions that the hot plate would assist in preparing. The 10” x 10” platform will also allow larger beaker use (perfect for class demonstrations). Please help me to provide quality learning moments for my students.
