These headphones would allow us to fully utilize our reading programs, System44 and Read180. These programs are used to help our students who lack proficiency in reading. Our special education students need these headphones because we are also in an underserved community, and cannot afford to buy their own headphones. Most of these students come to school with the bare minimum of supplies for their daily instruction. The headphones are a major component of their reading programs. They will also be helpful for them, when we are remote learning during inclement weather days or Covid related issues. System44 and Read180 require headphones in order to record their responses to questions, quizzes, and more within the programs. This also will allow for the students to not be so distracted by their peers when they are trying to learn.
