These books will inspire the students to begin a lifelong love of reading. Too often they are discouraged to read because of their reading levels. Hi-lo books (high interest - reading level appropriate) will inspire confidence in the students as they enjoy the reading experience. Besides the high interest books, the other materials and supplies will allow the students to be fully prepared and engaged with the content and class. Often the students cannot respond to the content in standardized ways. These supplies will allow us to incorporate differentiated instruction.
