The school I teach at is a Title I school in Nevada. Students in this area often times live below the poverty line and face many challenges in their personal lives. The resources I've chosen will give my students a comfortable and rewarding environment in which to let their curiosity run free. Students are adjusting to being inside a classroom after a year of virtual learning. I will provide my students with the tools necessary to feel comfortable in a traditional learning environment. Students will have alternative seating options and regards for succeeding academically and good classroom behavior. Students will be provided with the tools necessary to have an effective learning environment. My classroom will have alternative seating, headphones for students to listen to audio books and work on academic programs. The books I have chosen will allow students to further understand different science topics. I hope this will encourage them to continue reading more grade-level material. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.4.1.C Speaking and listening is very important in a classroom. It allows students to stay engaged in lessons and ask questions when needed. The treasure box, toys, and snacks I am getting will provide great motivation for my students. I seek to provide my students with a relaxing reading corner for them to retreat to during independent time. I will have flexible seating such as bean bags and a grassy rug for students to sit. The forest tapestry and fairy lights will set the perfect enchanted forest atmosphere for students to relax and enjoy their reading time. This will further encourage children to read. Lastly, the water bottles will keep the children hydrated throughout the day.
