Flexible seating allows students to remain engaged in order to access their individualized communication goals. Students will be able to self-regulate better to participate in collaborative conversations with peers (SL.1). Visual supports allow opportunities to individualize materials in order to help students meet their communication goals. Visual supports provide routine and structure, improve understanding, avoid frustration, and help students interact with others. (SL.K,4) Engaging students with hands-on materials will increase language communicative intentions. Students will be provided teacher-directed language opportunities in an engaging manner to increase reciprocal language tasks. (SL.K.6).
