I provide social/emotional and academic support to students at 4 different schools. My offices are cold and barren. I would like to provide a warm, safe, relaxing environment for the students I work with (ages 3 to 22!). I provide crisis response for children and their families, which can be extremely emotional for all. Having a comfortable, inviting office space helps students feel safe and secure when dealing with their issues. My project promotes all standards, because students must have their emotional needs met before they are available to learn.
