I would like to make it so my students have the option to stand up while they are working. It is good to burn energy, can help them focus, and can help improve production. According to WebMD, " In a study of call center employees, those with standing desks were 45% more productive on a daily basis than employees who sat during their shift." Students need to be able to move. Our classes are 90 minutes long and trying to get them to sit that long is impossible. This allows each individual student the option on what they prefer.Studies show standing while working can help with health issues as well. It can reduce childhood obesity and help lower blood sugar in those with diabetes.
