Do you remember the stories that inspired you as a kid? What about a teacher who made you see the world in a different way? My students will discover the wonder of the Spanish-speaking world through authentic, engaging texts. Research tells us that students learn new vocabulary most efficiently from voluntary reading about topics they enjoy. The best way to make sure this happens in my classroom is to have a multitude of quality, Spanish-language texts. The titles on this list have been curated by world language specialists and distinguished book awards such as Pura Belpre. Additionally, a variety of genres ensures all students have the opportunity to engage with texts that are personally resonant. I have chosen to ask for help with these items to foster students' love and curiosity of Spanish and acquire the language through comprehensible input. ¡Muchísimas gracias por su apoyo y generosidad!
