I spend the majority of my day working in small groups of students who need extra help in the areas of reading and writing. There are many students who need extra instruction to catch up to grade level standards since they have not had a traditional school experience for the last year and a half.
These materials will help me provide standards based instruction in a variety of ways to help keep students motivated and interested.
The chargers will allow me to send home devices with students when they are quarantined due to possible exposure. All devices and chargers were checked out during the initial Covid-19 Stay at Home period, and luckily many devices were returned to the school since students are in person and on campus, but many chargers were broken or lost in the process.
The materials in my project would enhance my instruction on College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards for Reading. It will also expand the number of devices available for check out when students need to stay home to keep Covid-19 out of school as much as possible.
