The year of virtual learning unfortunately has taken an academic and emotional toll on our students, but with help and support we can close the gaps and get everyone back on track. With the use of targeted reading instruction, student conferencing, and data collection, we can rebuild not only students' reading abilities but their self confidence too. When working one on one with a student the Samsung tablet will be a beneficial learning tool. They will be able to pick their own text and see pictures related to the text while recording their voices to increase fluency increase paraphrasing skills. All student's will benefit with the use of the tablet when it becomes their time to use the tool. SL4.2 Paraphrase portions of a text read aloud or information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively, and orally. W.5.9 Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research.
